Staying cool in the July heat

Thanks to our sweet friends for inviting us to their pool.  We haven't spent a lot of time with them lately, and it was so much fun to play in the pool!  Elizabeth had water wings and was a smiling and fearless little girl!  She loved jumping in the water.  Kyle was being a great big brother and "towing" her from the side of the pool to the steps. The kids loved both the big and little pools!  We skipped naps that day.  Elizabeth fell asleep on the 5 min ride home and Kyle was nearly asleep by the time we pulled into the driveway.  Elizabeth later on went to bed at 5:30 and I had to wake her up for school the next day at 7:00!!!!!

 We also finally got to spend an afternoon with our friends in NJ.  It has been a long time since we have had the chance to all get together.  All of the kids enjoyed playing and it was nice for the adults to have some time to catch up.

 Kyle and I went on our 2nd anual "date night"  It is a special mommy/son night of dinner, ice cream and fireworks!  Priceless time with my big boy!
